Ottumwa Schools Calendar Highlights for August 2026:

Saturday, August 1: Back-to-School Health and Family Festival for all students, Ottumwa High School.
Wednesday, August 19, 5:00-7:00 pm: Open House at Evans Junior High School.
Thursday, August 20, 4:00-6:00 pm: Open House at Douma Elementary, Eisenhower Elementary, Fahrney Elementary, Horace Mann Elementary, James Elementary, Pickwick Early Childhood Center, and Wilson Elementary Schools.
Tuesday, August 25, 4:00-6:00 pm: Open House at Liberty Intermediate School.
Tuesday, August 25, 5:00-7:00 pm: Open House at Ottumwa High School and Gateway High School.
Wednesday, August 26, 8:10 am - 3:15 pm: Classes Begin; Students First Day of School!
Friday, August 28: 1:00 p.m. Student Dismissal.

Our Summer Meal Distribution program continues this month, with distribution every Thursday from 2:00 to 3:00 PM through August 13, 2026.
