The Ottumwa Community School District invites the community to celebrate the ribbon cutting for the new barn addition at the Ottumwa Ag Center, located at 14880 Hwy 149. This addition represents the expansion of the Ag Center and a continued commitment to providing high-quality, hands-on agricultural learning experiences for students.

The new barn enhances the Ag Center by creating additional space for housing animals, supporting FFA activities, and expanding opportunities for students to engage in real-world agricultural education. The addition allows the district to grow its programming and better serve students interested in agriculture-related career pathways.

This project was made possible through the generous support of community partners, including the Ottumwa Legacy Foundation and Cargill Cares. Their investment has been instrumental in bringing this important addition to life and strengthening opportunities for students.

The ribbon-cutting celebration will take place in conjunction with the Ottumwa FFA’s annual “Babies and Blooms” plant sale from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Visitors can enjoy animals to cuddle, a variety of plants for sale, and a light lunch available on-site.

The district encourages families, students, and community members to attend, tour the new barn addition, and celebrate the continued growth of agricultural education in Ottumwa.
